Officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Commerce and Trade, along with representatives of the Ministries of Education and National Security, will further sensitise the community on issues related to the CSME and receive feedback.

Residents of Layou, Buccament and surrounding areas, are specially invited to attend. It takes place at the Layou Learning Resource Centre on Thursday April 23rd, from 6:30 p.m.

The CARICOM Single Market and Economy is intended to benefit the people of the region by providing increased opportunities for nationals to produce and sell goods and services and attract investment, by creating one large market among the participating CARICOM member States.

Next week Thursday’s event is one in a series of consultations being undertaken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Commerce and Trade, to sensitise the public on issues related to the CSME.
