LIME answers the call to support Rodney

LIME, this country’s leading full service telecommunications provider, and the LIME Community Outreach Group have answered the call to donate to kidney patient Rodney King. This is not the only occasion on which LIME has responded.{{more}} Recently, footballers from the company accepted an invitation to participate in a football fund raising match at the Victoria Park. On Tuesday April 7th, LIME Country Manager handed over a cheque for $4,000 to Roselle King, Rodney’s mother who was very thankful to LIME for this kind gesture and said “This is a significant contribution and I am very thankful to LIME for it. With the grace of God this donation will go a long way in making Rodney’s operation a success and on behalf of Rodney, his father Derrick and me, we want to thank LIME for being so generous.”

Country Manager Angus Steele on handing over the cheque said, “When I heard about Rodney’s situation I was moved and we decided to be part of this nationwide appeal to support Rodney. He is a young man with a bright future and must be given every chance to fulfill his dreams. LIME has indicated that we want to make life better for our Caribbean people and we hope this donation will go a long way in assisting Rodney’s parents in achieving that and to meet their expenses.

Also present at the handover were members of the LIME management team and LIME Community Outreach team.
