Lynx to launch Sunday

This weekend, the mas band WE FM-KBB Shipping-First Caribbean Singer Lnyx will launch their 2009 production, which they hope would give them their greatest success ever in their five year existence.{{more}}

On Sunday, March 29th, the band will unveil ‘Do You See What I see?’ at the Bay View Car Park in Kingstown.

The band will offer nine sections for revelers to choose from, including Show Girls, Barack Obama, Desert Storm and Temptations, all designed by the band’s artist Ozzie Constance.

Band leader Cornelius ‘Peter’ Thomas said that the band is aiming to improve on its previous performance.

In 2005, with its presentation “Books We Love”, the band placed fourth in the Junior Carnival, third for Queen of the Bands, sixth in the Band of the Year competition, and captured the Sections of the Band award.

Last year they placed sixth in the Band of the Year division. (JJ)
