Bequia Tour awarded Shore Excursion of the season

Cruise ship agent and tour operator Corea and Company must be proud, as their Bequia Sail, Snorkel and Beach Tour has been selected as the 2007-2008 CRUISE shore excursion of the season by Princess Cruises.{{more}}

On Saturday, February 7, an award ceremony was held aboard cruise liner Grand Princess, while it was docked in Port Kingstown. Michele Forsyth, Co-ordinator of Sea Tours, accepted the award on behalf of her company from the ship’s captain.

After the ceremony, the party, which included Managing Director of Corea and Company, Franklyn L Young, Tour Co-ordinator Noll Patterson, Forsyth and SEARCHLIGHT reporter Adrian ‘Tari’ Codogan were treated to a tour of the ship and lunch.

Captain Poggi told SEARCHLIGHT that they sent their passengers comments to their head office in Miami where the decision to give the award was made. He also said that his crew goes on ashore, and loves the islands and always returns with favourable feedback.

An elated Forsyth told SEARCHLIGHT that it is an exhilarating feeling to be recognized for a great excursion, “We always get excellent ratings on the tours, and our heartiest congratulations to the schooner and catamaran companies, and our own tour guides”, she added.
