Green Party to hold Obama March, Rally

The âsocially consciousâ SVG Green Party will hold a massive March and Rally in Kingstown on Friday, April 17, 2009, commencing at 1 p.m., from the Peace Memorial Hall into Bay Street, Bottom Town, and up through Back Street into Heritage Square for the rally. There will be music and speeches en route and at the rally.{{more}}
This major event is in support of President Barack Obamaâs victory as the First African-American President to preside over the White House and his historic visit to the Caribbean in April 2009.
President Barack Obama is a good friend of SVG, lifting USA sanctions against SVG. We will show in the march and rally very positive support to President Obama for the SVG-USA new relationship. President Obama is an inspiration of peace and SVG expects strong economic support from Obama.
