Three new faces for Methodist Church

Montserrat national Reverend Sherry-Anne Noreen Daley, Haitian Minister Reverend Madet Merove and Trinidadian Philbert Sinclair Delaney were all ordained at the Kingstown Methodist Church on January 21, 2009, to be Presbyters in the Ministry of the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas.{{more}}

Each pew in the church was filled as the curtains came down on the 191 District Conference of the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and Americas.

While growing up in the village of Santer Road, Reverend Daley openly proclaimed the Holy word to her siblings. In 2002, she attended the Theological Seminary in Jamaica to pursue the Bachelor of Arts degree in Theological Studies. She graduated with Upper Second Class Honours and served in Barbados for two years. She is presently serving in the Kingstown/Chateaubelair Circuit.

As for Reverend Merove, he received his training at the United Theological College of the West Indies and the University of the West Indies (Mona) Jamaica. Merove is the holder of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and a diploma in Ministerial Studies, and has a certificate in Business Administration and Management. The soft-spoken Merove is responsible for four congregations in the Kingstown/Chateaubelair Circuit.

Described as a community man, Reverend Delaney has been involved in many aspects of the community serving as president of the Y’s Men Club of Bridgetown, Barbados YMCA Board. In 2002, he started his candidature from the Ebenezer Circuit, Barbados, to be a local Presbyter in the MCCA. Currently, Delaney is serving in the Grenada Circuit and has pastoral responsibility for the Constantine, Carriacicou and Gouyave congregations.
