Baptiste donates to two institutions
Minister of Culture René Baptiste made donations to two institutions on Friday, January 16th, in her efforts to be more charitable.{{more}}
Minister Baptiste donated four chairs and half case of exercise books to the Kingstown Anglican School. The chairs are to be used by the staff and the books by the children.
Receiving the donation, Headteacher of the Kingstown Anglican School Rita Jack thanked the Minister for the donations, noting that they will be put to good use.
Also receiving a donation from the Minister on the same day was the Salvation Army, who she gave a television set with promises of a radio to be donated in the future.
Speaking to the media, Minister Baptiste urged others to be charitable as well. Receiving the television set, Major Pauline King thanked the Minister for the donation.
The television set will be used by the preschool of the Salvation Army to entertain the children with educational and recreational programmes. (OS)
