Lucky winners say thanks to Digicel

Eleven lucky Digicel customers were rewarded last Wednesday as part of the current promotions the telecommunications firm is using to give something back to the public.{{more}}

Brandon Duncan, Kino Martin, Kelroy Richardson, Elvis John, Sylvia Williams, Arthur Matthews, Taneil James, Sylvanus Stewart, Leona John, Stephanie Williams and Sharon French Stapleton all got something to smile about when they entered Digicel’s Corporate Offices in the Sprott’s Building on Bay Street.

Duncan, Martin, Williams (Sylvia), Matthews, James, Stewart, Stapleton and Williams (Stephanie) all received EC$1,000 as part of the top up EC$10 or more to win campaign. The other three were rewarded as follows: Richardson received a Sony Playstation 3 and a Sony Ericsson W760 handset, John got a Sony Mini Hi-Fi Component and a Sony Ericsson W760 handset, while Leona John collected a DVD Home Theatre System and a Sony Ericsson W760 handset.

Leona John, who is a Social Worker living in Enhams, commented: “I feel more than excited because it is the first time that I am winning something, and I must count this as my very lucky day and I will always cherish this gift.”

Smiling all the way, Elvis John who hails from Murray’s Village said: “I really wanted a system and a good phone, so I am glad.”

Taking home the Playstation 3, Richardson, who is a Police Officer, said that he is surprised to have won. The Barrouallie resident said that he has little experience with game systems but said: “I will learn.”

The winners of the money all thanked Digicel, with three of them commenting on what they are going to do with the money. Martin, who resides in Mesopotamia, said that he is going to open a bank account for his son, while Sylvia Williams said that her prize is going in bills. James said: “I’m elated and thankful to Digicel.”

The gifts were handed over by Marketing Manager Juno DeRoche and Marketing Executive Edmund Joachim.
