Leo Club makes donation to Pediatric ward

The Pediatric ward at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital is the recipient of a quantity of electronic and kitchen items courtesy the Leo club of St Vincent West.{{more}}

On Tuesday, August 12, several members of the club were present at the hospital to hand over a microwave, four electric fans, two electric kettles, plastic plates, spoons and sponges.

President of the club Zananai Byron said the initiative for the donation came when a member of their club, who is a nurse on the paediatric ward, indicated that they were in need of those items. “We decided to make it our project and donate these items,” she said. Byron noted that the Club hosted a number of fund raising to enable them to purchase the items.

Meanwhile, Staff nurse Careen Dublin upon receiving the items said it is a good effort by the Club. An elated Dublin expressed that the items received, were “much needed stuff” and they are “grateful and thankful” for them.(VM)
