Two win Wet Fete tickets

Two persons had the opportunity to attend The “Wet Fete” with a friend, free of charge – thanks to Digicel.

Collin Charles, of Barrouallie, and Kerleishia Matthias, of Sans Souci, won two tickets to the event after they texted WET to 3211. Wet Fete was held at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex last Saturday. The event featured Machel Montano. {{more}} Charles, who said that he texted the number six times, thanked Digicel and commented that winning saved him a lot of money. The mini van conductor said he has been with Digicel from day one. He described Machel Montano as a “nice entertainer”.

Matthias, who only sent one text, took her sister to the show. Said Matthias, “I felt glad and excited.” She revealed that it was her first time at a “Wet Fete”, and she likes Machel Montano because he always keeps the crowd “hyped”. Matthias has been using the Digicel service for five years.

Marketing Manager at Digicel Juno DeRoche handed over the tickets. She pointed out that the “Wet” promotion was her company’s way of giving back to the public. “We know it’s Carnival, and we know people want to have a good time, so this is just another way of us saying thank you and we will be giving persons more opportunities to party with Digicel during Carnival”, said DeRoche. This year, Digicel has given over EC$10,000 to Rural Carnival.
