Get ready to laugh yourself silly!

This Saturday, May 17th, 2008 at Peace Memorial Hall, Courts (St.Vincent) Ltd. will crown a new queen or king of Comedy in SVG in the finals of the Courts Just for Laughs Competition.{{more}}

Seven of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ funniest comedians: Sylvia Williams, Johnathan “Sarg” Nichols, Judy Jackson, Clement Fergus, Palmore Wilson, Nickron Malcolm and Shevrell Mc Millan will vie for the title.

The winner will walk away with $2000 and the right to represent SVG in the grand finale which will be held at the Aquatic Club on June 21st, 2008. The grand prize is a $40,000 advertising contract as the next Courts Big Prize 2008 Personality.

Special performances will be made by Avenue Dancers, Bomani, Skarpyon, and the reigning OECS King of Comedy Maurice Horne.

The show beings at 7:00 p.m.

Courts’ Marketing Executive, Alexis John, said: “It’s an event that you do not want to miss. A showcase of class acts. Just bring your laugh and come.
