Greiggs Earth Day

The Greiggs Primary School joined with the rest of St. Vincent in celebrating Earth Day 2008 under the theme Think Globally Act Locally.{{more}}

Students and Teachers took to the streets on April 22nd, commencing the Earth Day celebration through the village. The programme continued with a rally in the School Court yard, where each class presented an item on an environmental theme. Such themes included “Turning Trash into Cash”, and “Preserving the environment and Energy Saving”. The day concluded with students planting trees around the school compound. Organizers said that April 22nd was a historic day for the people of Greiggs. They expressed the hope that next year, celebrations will be bigger and better.
