Kings-SVG Publishers to make unsung heroes book

KINGS-SVG Publishers of St Vincent and the Grenadines and New Jersey, USA, is seeking authors to contribute to an edited volume on unsung heroes/heroines in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.{{more}}

In a release, the publishers said they welcome articles on individuals who have made significant contributions to Vincentian society in all spheres of activity, whether they have lived in SVG or in the diaspora.

Twenty persons (living or dead) drawn from the various fields of medicine, science, engineering, politics, the teaching profession, civil service, agriculture, the arts, law, community service, etc will be featured.

The release from Dr Baldwin King said a particular author may submit multiple contributions. The publishers said they “would like to follow up on Sir Rupert John’s seminal contribution “ Pioneers in Nation-building in a Caribbean Mini-state,” published in 1979, in which he profiled such stalwarts as George McIntosh, Ebenezer Duncan, O. D. Brisbane, to name a few.”

The articles should run between 4,000 – 6000 words and should be submitted electronically in Microsoft Word (font 10) to: kingba@aol.com.

Articles will be reviewed by a panel of editors, and upon acceptance, KINGS-SVG Publishers will pay the authors US$6/1000 words for their contribution, which will become the copyright of KINGS-SVG publishers.
