Alexander is JCI St. Vincent second female President

Claudette Alexander has been elected President of JCI St. Vincent. Alexander, only the second woman to hold this post, was installed on Saturday, 2nd January, at Murray Heights Hotel.{{more}}

Alexander’s Executive includes Michael Mc Clean,Vice President; Ryan Hazel, Vice President; Sharlene Wyllie, Secretary; Ianthi Burke, Treasurer; Desmond Pompey, Immediate Past President.

Alexander follows in the footsteps of JCI Senator Alice Mandeville who was elected to the presidency of the local organization in 1986. She also follows in the footsteps of her father JCI Senator Hendrick Alexander who was president in 1978.

At Saturday’s session, two one-hour training sessions for members were also held. The presenters were: JCI WI Past President Wayne Cadougan of JCI Barbados who spoke on the topic “Project Proposal”.

JCI WI Past President Gary Matthias of JCI SVG spoke on Strategic Implementation.

Two prospective members were inducted: Cutbert Tucker and Gasnal Straker.

A plaque was presented to JCI WI Past President Wayne Cadougan by the new President Claudette Alexander for his assistance in training.
