C&W donates computers to Rotary Club of SVG

On the 29th October, Cable & Wireless St.Vincent Ltd donated four computers to the Rotary Club of St.Vincent. This contribution goes towards the Rotary Club of St.Vincent Literacy and Skills Training Project for Her Majesty’s Prison.{{more}}

“With this project, the Rotary Club envisions the development of a holistic program to help in the rehabilitation process of the prisoners. It is the Rotary Club’s desire to offer this to as many prisoners as possible. The project will be initiated within the constraints of the limiting facilities available at the moment, with plans to enlarge as the prison’s facilities improve. The Rotary will like to thank Cable & Wireless for this kind gesture as it continues to exhibit its benevolence as the leading telecommunications provider in St.Vincent and the Grenadines,” said Dr. Simeon Norton.

Being imprisoned doesn’t mean one has to be locked away from technology. It is our hope that these computers will be used to develop the computer literacy skills of the prisoners and make them more productive citizens”.
