Kid puts DJ rivals on ice

Ice Kid has once again proven that he is in a class by himself by devastating six other contestants to emerge winner of the final leg of the Heineken Synergy Deejay competition.{{more}}

Appearing at number four, Ice Kid had the large crowd under his spell as he flung down tune after tune, mixing and scratching as only he can. While the other deejays played CDs, the kid opted for two turntables, further concreting that the old school is still a force to be reckoned with, giving patrons ten minutes that they will remember for a very long time.

The finals of the Heineken Synergy Deejay competition will take place tomorrow at the Aquatic Club; six contestants will come up against last year’s winner, DJ Infra Red. The winner will compete in Trinidad for the regional title.

Last Sunday’s event took place in an outdoor corral next to Cumberland Beach; it was hosted by Donovan and Too Cool Chris. DIGICEL is also a sponsor. (AC)
