Women’s convention this weekend

Women from across the nation are expected to converge at the Hope for Life Restoration Ministries in Arnos Vale, as the church hosts its first ever women’s convention this weekend.{{more}}

The convention, which begins tonight (Friday, August 24th) at 7 p.m. and ends on Sunday evening with a banquet, will feature a workshop for women between 16 and 30 years old.

This takes place on Saturday evening, and also begins at 7 p.m.

Jamaican evangelist Blossom White will be this weekend’s keynote speaker and will deliver the sermons each night.

The married mother of three is has a wealth of experience; she is the host of a number of radio programmes, she is an author, a sociologist, lecturer and counselor.

President of the church’s women’s group, which is organizing this weekend’s event, Morthley Robertson, said that the convention will be an opportunity for women to understand their power, once they have God in their lives.

She also encouraged men to urge their women to attend the convention, and extended the invitation for men to attend as well.

The weekend of worship will take place under the theme “Virtuous women arise and fulfill God’s purpose.” (JJ)
