Soleil, who has expressed a desire to become a veterinarian because of her love of animals, says that she is having second thoughts because to be a veterinarian, you have to do Math at A’level. Although she likes mathematics, Soliel said “I like Math, but I’ve seen my sister doing it, and she’s at college, but I barely see any numbers, it’s just symbols and I’m a bit intimidated.”

The young lady wants to attend the Girls’ High School and is happy to be carrying on the tradition, because her sister also attended the school. While she’s happy that she did well, Soleil said that she’s also disappointed that she didn’t do better.

Soleil is the daughter of Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves and his wife Eloise. The Prime Minister said that he is happy about his daughter’s achievement because although she is very bright, the competition among the top ten was very tight. Dr Gonsalves said that he doesn’t think the fact that he is Prime Minister affected her in any way, but he always told her “You’ve been doing work, don’t worry, just be yourself and you’ll do well.” (VM)
