On the night of Easter Monday (April 9th) the premises in which Sherryann stores her goods, including the family’s appliances and furniture, went up in smoke.
Everything was lost in the fire, leaving Sherryann looking for a new start.
Junior and Demi were in high spirits during camp, even though they had the tragedy in the family. They expressed thanks that they were not at the time staying where the fire took place, but at the home of a relative.
Camp Aware showed its concern to the children by donating foodstuff on the final night of camp and pledged to seek further assistance so that they will be able to live a comfortable life.
