Primary School Arts Festival climaxes in great style

The one-month Primary School Performing Arts Festival (PRISPAF) sponsored by the Professional Secretarial and Consultancy Services (PSCS) climaxed at the Peace Memorial Hall with great style on Wednesday February 28.

The fourth Bi-annual event saw a total of 53 primary schools participating in different cultural aspects ranging from poetry, singing, dancing, dramas and other cultural aspects.{{more}}

The event is an expansion of the primary school drama festival to include all the art forms. The grand ceremony that took place at the Peace Memorial Hall featured all the best performances during the preliminary round that was held at the schools.

The Calliaqua Anglican School captured the top spot for the best programme while the Most Valuable Items went to the Georgetown Primary School. Jason Fraser of the Layou Government School was awarded the Most Promising Male performer while the Most Promising Female performer award went to Tamika Burgin of the Belair Government School.

The prince and princess of the PSCS PRISPAF went to Javid Johnson of the Lowmans Windward Anglican School and Azuree Durrant of the Lauders primary school.
