GECCU marks National Heroes Day with Fun Day

The Richmond Hill playing field came alive on Wednesday as the Government Employees Cooperative Credit Union (GECCU) held a family fun day to commemorate National Heroes Day.

Members of the credit union turned out in their numbers to partake in activities such as sack race, lime and spoon race, football, dominoes and card games.{{more}}

Staff members of GECCU did a brisk trade selling local dishes including callaloo, pelau, saltfish and breadfruit, dough boy, bakes, chicken and bread.



Even the general public took time out to have some fun in the sun as all were invited to come and enjoy themselves.

The kids were seen frolicking about as some of them waited eagerly to compete in their chosen event.

Not to be outdone by the little ones, the elders rolled up their sleeves and showed the crowd that they too had come out to enjoy themselves.
