Private Sector Development Programme to launch Monday
On Monday, 26th February 2007, the European Union Funded Private Sector Development Programme will be officially launched. The launch will take place at the Kingstown Methodist Church Hall beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Kenny Baker, Manager of the Private Sector Development Programme (PSDP), will chair the proceedings with remarks from Dr. Jerrol Thompson, Minister of Telecommunications, Science, Technology and Industry, a representative from the European Development Fund (EDF) and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (CIC). The feature address will be delivered by the Prime Minister, Dr. the Hon. Ralph Gonsalves.{{more}}
Following the launch of the Private Sector Development Programme there will be two and a half days of workshop sessions facilitated by Ian Ivey of Next Corporation from New Zealand, in conjunction with the Private Sector Development Programme, PSDP. The sessions will focus on the âBest Betâ for private sector development in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the benefits of the Private Sector Development Programme. Participants will be drawn from all business sectors with special emphasis on Tourism, Information Communication Technology, Agriculture/Agro-processing, Creative Industries, Manufacturing and Services.
The Private Sector Development Programme began on 1st July 2006.
