Prayer Vigil for peace and security

In response to the outbreak of violence in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, there will be a series of prayer sessions for the nation commencing from this Sunday February 4 to the 11th, which will be hosted by the Upper Room Ministry located at Lower Bay Street.

The group will host their “SVG for Jesus” Prayer Crusade under the theme “Living for Sacrifice.” The event will begin on Sunday with an early morning prayer service in the Upper Room Office that is located opposite the Leeward Bus Terminal starting at 6am.{{more}}

On Monday February 5 to Friday February 9, the ministry will continue with a Mid Day prayer service along with an All Night Prayer Vigil on Friday evening starting from 9pm – 6am all of which would be conducted at the Upper Room Ministry. Then on Sunday February 11, at 5pm there will be Deliverance Prayer Service that is scheduled to be at the Leeward Bus Terminal.

According to members of the Ministry, the eight-day crusade will be an intense period of supplication and intercession which would include praying for the peace and security of Vincentians against the increasing murder rate. There will also be prayer for the spiritual and moral revival of families, communities and the nation, and prayer for the economic growth and prosperity of the nation. The crusade will also include urging believers to deepen their personal prayer life.
