Speaking at the handing over ceremony on Wednesday, Minister of Education, Hon. Girlyn Miguel said that the High Commissioner is aware that education is the flagship of the government of this country. She said that for this reason he worked along with other Vincentians and friends of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to raise six thousand pounds to distribute to students.

Minister Miguel cautioned students to use the money wisely. She said that they should keep their eyes on their education, which is the surest way out of poverty.
