Girl Guides showing love for the elderly

It seemed to be a pleasant day for the Girls’ High School Girl Guides Association as they journeyed all the way to Cane Grove Golden Years Activity Centre to spend part of their afternoon celebrating the Christmas season with the elderly.

The mini concert, which took place on Tuesday 12 December, saw a wide range of performances from the girls including dancing, singing, poetry and other musical renditions.{{more}}

The senior citizens showed their appreciation for the girls as they greeted them with their warm smiles while at the same time singing along with them.

The centre usually caters for elders 60 years and older. These persons attend the centre on a daily basis and the workers would take care of them for the day, giving them their lunch and other basic necessities that they may need.
