The JobBank, Caribbean Jobs Online join forces

Jamaica’s “The JobBank” and St. Vincent’s “Caribbean Jobs Online,” have joined forces to launch a Caribbean Career Network – caribbeanjobsonline.com.

The service is designed to facilitate Caribbean recruiters and job seekers in making the perfect match.{{more}}

“Both recruiters and job seekers stand to benefit from being able to access more information about each other based on what can be made readily available via the Internet,” said Dr Leahcim Semaj, Partner of caribbeanjobsonline.com and Chief Executive Officer of The JobBank.

Noting that the use of the Internet as a job search tool is increasing daily in the Caribbean, Dr Semaj said that in Jamaica this is evidenced by the number of advertisers in the Sunday papers that now include website addresses and email as an option for submitting applications.

Dr Semaj warned that as this trend strengthened regionally, those who did not include the Internet in their job search or recruitment strategies would run the risk of failing to gain access to the best jobs or best qualified candidates.

To celebrate the launch of Caribbeanjobsonline.com, recruiters will be allowed FREE unlimited job posting until October 31, 2006.
