Up to news Daniel was still on track walking around Emancipation Park in Jamaica, after starting out at nightfall Tuesday.
‘Ole George’ said they trained rigorously for three months at the Fitness Quest Gym in preparation for this event. They also walked 15 miles
twice a week and maintained a rigid diet.
It’s not the first time they have done this. Daniel and Butcher made history on March 14, 2005 when they walked 240 miles in six-days around St Vincent and the Grenadines without sleep.
The Jamaica event is being financed by the National Lotteries in the amount of $12,000 cash and $1,000 in gear.
Both men will also make several media appearances to promote AIDS awareness. SEARCHLIGHT wishes Ole George all the best.
