Monique expands with spa, wellness centre

On Sunday, June 25, proprietor of the Beauty Bar, Monique Arthur-Tash opened the doors to a second spa branch.

Oasis Spa and Wellness Centre is located on the beach at Villa Flat, in the space formerly used by Body Sense. Oasis Spa and Wellness Centre is an extension on the spa services provided at its sister branch Beauty Bar, focusing on holistic healing of the body.{{more}}

Partly because of the growth in the area of health and wellness and also as a result of the encouragement of a friend residing in the USA, Tash decided to seriously investigate the area.

Over the past year, she has been travelling extensively to the US for training. She received certification from the International Spa and Esthetics Conference held in Las Vegas and the America’s Expo for Skin Care and Spa conference in Chicago. She has also had several in-house training sessions with top Barbadian therapist Steve Andrews to ensure that her staff members receive adequate training.

Oasis offers a variety of massages, body scrubs, facials and body wraps.

Oasis is also much more than a spa and is holding regular fitness classes including yoga and pilates. Oasis clients have access to top of the line vitamins, health books , a juice , fruit, vegetable and smoothie bar.
