Gineal Joseph has eyes set on becoming lawyer
The list of female lawyers is set to increase. Kingstown Preparatory School student Gineal Joseph will add to the number. She placed third for girls and fifth overall in the 2006 Common Entrance Examination.
Joseph had grades of 91.67% for Math, and 90% each in English and General Paper.{{more}}
She feels “very good” about her success, for she pointed out: “I was aiming for the top ten.”
Gineal has advised students to be “confident.” “Don’t get stressed out. Act like it’s a normal test. You’ll feel better.” She is an avid reader and also an athlete.
Eighty-two of 116 Kingstown Preparatory School students passed the test – an achievement highly regarded by the staff. They see it as an improvement over last yearâs.
One teacher, Gillian Dougan attributed the improvement to measures taken at the school: “We identified weak readers and did some early intervention. Without that intervention, things might have been different,” Dougan stated. “Reading marks were outstanding,” she pointed out.
