New rates for C&W internet service

Customers of Cable & Wireless Internet service will now receive more value for their money. Their Internet speed was doubled last Friday, as part of Cable and Wireless’ Xnet re-pricing programme.

Manager of Data and Internet, Sharon Cyrus said that their existing high speed Internet Service has been well received by customers and Cable and Wireless embraces the opportunity to provide more value to their loyal customers. {{more}}She said over the past seven years Cable and Wireless has deployed various Internet access technologies and value added services that have enabled customers to travel the cutting edge of communications.

All Xlite and X256 customers now receive double bandwidth for the same price of $99, all X512 customers save $100 from an initial cost of $249 to $149, X768 customers get double bandwidth and save $50 from $349 to $299 and all X1544 customers save $350 from $649 to $299.

Also on hand at the launch was Minister of Telecommunications, Science, Technology and Industry Jerrol Thompson. Thompson said that he happy with the move made by Cable and Wireless. He reiterated that his administration is interested in the growth of bandwidth here with the CSME nearing. Thompson urged Cable and Wireless to keep up their high standard and service to the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
