Strong Sense of Patriotism, Commitment

WINFA wishes to add our voice to those expressing condolences to the family of the late Glenn Jackson on his brutal murder and to strongly condemn the horrific act. {{more}}

Glenn has demonstrated through his life’s work a strong sense of patriotism and commitment to the cause of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. We in WINFA and all farmers in general, banana farmers in particular, will remember his selfless act of spearheading the mobilization of the Vincentian public in defense of our bananas when faced by the formidable combination of banana multinationals, the US Government and certain Latin American governments. It was a glorious moment in the annals of our history that we will never forget. By his actions in this regard alone Glenn indicated clearly on whose side he stood.

WINFA joins the call for no stone to be left unturned to hunt out the perpetrators and bring them to justice. We shall remember Glenn as a FRIEND IN NEED.
