Island Roam winner heads for Trinidad

Simone McDonald of Stubbs, the winner of the third league of the ‘Take You to Da Music’ Island Roam promotion hosted by Cable & Wireless in collaboration with BET, went off to the Land of Calypso and Steel Band, Trinidad, for Carnival on Saturday 25th February, 2006 until 1st March, 2006. {{more}}

Simone succeeded in capturing the prize of a trip for two to T&T after she gained entry into the draw of the competition by responding correctly to the multiple choice question sent via text message to C&W bmobile customers. In addition to the trip, she has also been awarded free entry into Island People Mas Band along with two free carnival costumes, accommodation for two at the Crews Inn Hotel plus transportation and US$500.

An excited Simone said that she was looking forward to playing mas in T&T and will take along her good friend Lasanny Sutherland.
