Crichton to head up FCIB Corporate Banking in Antigua

FirstCaribbean International Bank has announced some changes to its senior Corporate Banking team.

Vincentian Earl Crichton, Head of Corporate Banking and Country Head for St. Vincent and Grenadines, has been relocated to Antigua to take up the position of Head of Corporate Banking in Antigua and Barbuda. He will replace Roy Warner, who has been relocated to Barbados, to take up the position of Head of Corporate Credit. Paul Ashe will remain as Country Head of Antigua and Barbuda.{{more}}

Crichton first entered banking in 1967 with The Royal Bank of Canada, Kingstown, St Vincent. He then went on to stints in Grenada, St. Lucia, and St. Kitts and Nevis. He was later relocated to Toronto where he gained much experience as an Assistant Manager in Personal Banking, and a Collections and Credit Control Officer. Crichton also spent some time with the Windward Islands Bank in Philipsburg, St. Maarten, RBTT Bank Caribbean Limited, and CIBC. His most recent position was Head of Corporate and Country Head in St. Vincent and Grenadines.

Radcliffe Nurse, who will relocate from the Corporate Banking Centre in Barbados, will in turn replace Crichton in St. Vincent and Grenadines. Nurse brings 25 years of experience to the job, 15 of which have been spent in Corporate Banking. His previous role as Relationship Manager included managing a portfolio of corporate customers with borrowings exceeding US$55 million.

Executive Director of Corporate Banking, Horace Cobham, says he expects both the Corporate Banking team, and the bank’s customers to benefit. “These changes are designed to give the team a rounded experience of Corporate Banking in different locations across the region, and to give our customers the benefit of different approaches and fresh ideas – so in essence each market will be exposed to the collective experience of the team.”

The changes are expected to be completed by January 15, 2006.
