Tourism month in full swing

As part of Tourism Month, the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Hotel & Tourism Association hosted a group of nineteen (19) Travel Agents, Tour Operators and Press Personnel from Trinidad and Tobago on a familiarization tour of SVG. While in the state the group met with Tourism stakeholders at a Destination Training and Mini Trade fair at Sunset Shores Hotel and also visited places of interest on St. Vincent and Bequia. On Saturday the group was treated to an evening under the stars which offered local cuisine and music. They left the state on Sunday 13th November.{{more}}

On Friday 11th November the Association staged its Tourism Careers Fair and Showcase at the Old Public Library. The fair ran from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It featured mini seminars which included presentations on Yachting and Whale and Dolphin Watching and a hands-on look at careers available in the Tourism sector. Displays were mounted by hoteliers, tour operators, travel agents, airlines, the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Health and the Environment.

The association has organized a Family Fun Day and Chef and Bartenders Competition for Sunday 20th November at the Gazebo, Villa Bay. The Month’s celebrations culminate on Saturday 26th November with an Awards and Appreciation Cocktail Reception at the Cruise Ship Terminal.
