Bynoe says lands destroyed by rains

Curtis Bynoe was one of the residents to have part of his land partially destroyed by the heavy rains in Bequia last Monday.

Speaking to SEARCHLIGHT last Tuesday, he said that the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. He stated that water was running heavily in the yard: “When we see the water coming down in the yard, we tried to clear the mud.”

Bynoe said his girlfriend and two grandchildren were in the house at the time and they fled for refuge at his son’s house nearby.
