100 cabanas to be built at Buccament

Preparations by this country to host warm-up matches prior to the ICC World Cup are continuing apace.

In addition to the EC$30M allocated for restoration and expansion of the Arnos Vale Playing Field, the nation is slated for some other economic benefits. {{more}}

The National Investment Promotion Incorporated and a United Kingdom Firm have been exploring some business possibilities. According to Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, the British Investors have bought 26 acres for construction of over 100 cabanas to be built at Buccament.

A ten percent deposit will be made December 4, and work is slated to commence January 2006.

Prime Minister Dr. Gonsalves anticipates that the works would be complete in time for the ICC World Cup in March 2007.

He was speaking at the Unity Labour Party headquarters on Murray’s Road last Monday morning. That was after the announcement of the general elections the previous evening. The polls are sheduled for December 7, 2006.
