Mystery boat in Coast Guard custody

Port Authorities here have a mystery to unravel. That’s concerning a small vessel recovered about 15 miles North West of mainland St. Vincent.

The boat with registration number Juliet 7: 087: the vessel Independence II pulled Juliet into Port Kingstown last Tuesday afternoon. The boat was found without anyone on board. But there were indications that there might have been occupants before.{{more}}

Some shoes, slippers, bread, were on the ship. Independence II is a 1005 Cargo vessel with a crew of five. It left Portsmouth Dominica and came to Port Kingstown under Captain Cyril Hyacinth.

The discovery of the boat is seen as a strange occurrence and followed with some interest by marine enthusiasts.
