Diagnostic clinic coming

The Cuban Government is in the advanced stages of discussion with the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to establish a modern diagnostic centre here in a rural area with a population of about 35, 000 people.

So says Dr. Douglas Slater, Minister of Health.

The Minister made the disclosure at the July 21, sitting of the House of Assembly.{{more}}

Dr. Slater disclosed that the Georgetown Hospital has been identified as the ideal location for such a venture.

Testing methods such as endoscopy, radiology and laboratory will be used at the centre which will also have a small operating theatre.

A Cuban team of architects and engineers is expected to visit the state with regard to the project.
