Thomas to serve second term as President

Reginald Thomas, Executive Director of the National Insurance Services, was on Saturday June 11 pinned as incoming president of the Rotary Club of St. Vincent South for the 2005 – 2006 year. This will be the second time at the helm of the organization for Thomas. He served as president of the club during the 1999 – 2000 Rotary year.{{more}}

Thomas received his pin from outgoing President, Garfield Williams, who thanked the general public for its support of the club’s fund raising efforts during his term. He revealed that because of the public’s generosity, the club was able to make payments amounting to US$35,000 towards the architectural designs of the children’s hospital the club plans to build here.

The other members of the incoming board include Martin Bollers, vice-president; Simone Churaman, president-elect; Garfield Williams, immediate past-president; Juliette Wilson, treasurer; Steven Roberts, secretary; Cecil McKie, club service director; Elwyn Phillips, community service director; Simone Churaman, Vocational Service Director and Keith Howard, international service director.

The pinning ceremony took place at the 10th Annual hand over dinner of the Club held at the French Verandah restaurant of the Mariners Hotel.
