Scotiabank launches AAdvantage card in St. Vincent

Scotiabank recently launched the Scotiabank/AAdvantage(r) MasterCard card, the only credit card in St. Vincent that lets cardholders earn AAdvantage miles on local or international purchases.

Cardholders earn one AAdvantage mile for every U.S. dollar – or local currency equivalent – they spend. The Scotiabank/AAdvantage(r) MasterCard credit card is also available exclusively in Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, the Cayman Islands, Dominica, the British Virgin Islands, Grenada, St. Kitts and St. Lucia.

As a special offer during the launch, customers will receive 5000 AAdvantage bonus miles if they make their first purchase on their Scotiabank/ AAdvantage(r) MasterCard credit card by April 30, 2005. The new Scotiabank/AAdvantage(r) MasterCard credit card is available through any local Scotiabank branch.

“With AAdvantage miles accumulating with every single purchase on this card,” added Sali, “we think it will be extremely popular addition to our suite of credit cards. Now there’s even more reason to be a Scotiabank credit cardholder.”

The American Airlines AAdvantage programme, which began in 1981, is the original and largest travel awards programme today, with more than 48 million members. Members currently can earn miles with more than 1,500 participating companies. In addition, each year for the past decade, the AAdvantage programme has led the industry in award redemptions.
