Agape drummers in Grenada festival

Local drumming group Agape Drummers will represent this country at the Annual Grenada Drum Festival, which will take place from May 7-9 at the Sea Moon Cultural Centre in Grenada.{{more}}
Earlier today Minister of Tourism and Culture Rene Baptiste presented 10 airline tickets, compliments the Ministry of Tourism and Culture to Kevin Rodriquez of the group.
Speaking at the brief presentation at the Ministry of Tourism and Culture’s Conference Room, Minister Baptiste noted that she had witnessed the Agape Drummers’ performance during the Ministry’s 2003 Drama Festival and was delighted that they would be representing St Vincent and the Grenadines at the festival. She encouraged the group to make this country proud and pledged her support to the development of culture and cultural artistes in the country.
According to Rodriquez, the ten-member group which has performed in the Community Drama Festival, Nine Mornings Activities and other charitable concerts and cultural events aims to spread the message of love through the creative arts, by the use of the drums. The group will leave St. Vincent on Friday for Grenada.
