Fernella takes 2014 Miss Rural SVG crown

Twenty-year-old Fernella Frederick secured all but one of the judged categories on her way to being crowned the 2014 Miss Rural SVG last weekend, in the Canouan carnival festivities.{{more}}

The Canouan native took the Best Swim Wear, Best Talent and Best Evening Wear titles during the pageant that was held on the Canouan Hard Court on Sunday July 27, in one of the most highly anticipated events of the celebrations, which began on July 25 and climaxes on August 2.

Frederick was unable to place her grasp on the Best Interview category however; this went to Miss P’Tani Solange Fernandez, who also placed First Runner-Up in the pageant.

Second Runner-Up was Osheca Edwards, Miss North Leeward, and Kimberly Shepherd, Miss South Leeward, was judged to be Miss Photogenic.

Other contestants in the pageant were Miss South Windward Joslin Frank, Miss Central Windward Oreica Glasgow, Miss Northern Grenadines Veronique Browne, and Miss Central Leeward Brean Gloster.
