Kadecia Johnson to represent SVG at Miss Caribbean US pageant

This Sunday, November 11, 19-year-old Kadecia Johnson, daughter of Karen Johnson and Bill Roberts will represent St Vincent and the Grenadines in the annual Miss Caribbean US pageant.{{more}}

The show is scheduled to take place at the Kumble Centre For Performing Arts in New York.

Kadecia, who originates from the small village of Greiggs and has family ties in Clare Valley and Chateaubelair, migrated to the USA six years ago. She is competing against 11 other Caribbean countries for the coveted title of Miss Caribbean US.

Kadecia says she has always had a passion for pageantry, modeling and cosmetology. She also believes that that the

spirit and pride of the Vincentian people can be reflected through her. She plans to represent SVG to the best of her ability, and promises that she will make the land of her birth proud.

Kadecia will be chaperoned at the show by Lesmon Cockburn Barnwell, a hairstylist and make-up artiste, who is also a Vincentian residing in the USA.

He is confident that she is well prepared and is ready for the show, and assures the Vincentian public that the crown will come home to SVG for the first time.
