The weekend saw the climax of this yearâs festival, with Guest artistes Damita Haddon and Jessica Reedy of the USA and showcases of outstanding local artistes from the different zones across St Vincent and the Grenadines, as well as worship done by the New Life Baptist Church Choir from the British Virgin Islands.
Saturday night featured performances from several zones, including the adorable Ronesia Hazelwood from Faith Evangelistic Outreach in the Kingstown Zone. Hazelwood, who was announced as the youngest artiste in this yearâs festival, sang âCanât give up now.â
Damita Haddon involved the crowd in a time of worship, as she performed songs, âNo looking back,â âHeâs able,â and the popular âIt all belongs to you.â
Sunday nightâs show, though interrupted by rain and technical problems, was still entertaining. Guest Artiste Jessica Reedy performed A Cappella, wowing the audience as she sang hit songs âPut it on the altarâ and âGod has smiled on meâ. Damita Haddon also made a second appearance at Sunday Nightâs showcase.
Sunday nightâs showcase also included local artistes, performing in song and dance, mime and poetry.
Bishop John Cline of the New Life Baptist Church in the British Virgin Islands also brought the word on Saturday night. Cline encouraged persons to put on the armour of God in order to run the race before them. Pastor Guntrope Collin on Sunday night also encouraged patrons that they can overcome through the power of Christ.
This yearâs festival carried the theme âA glorious Celebration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.â (OS)
