Local celebrities named Hairoun Ambassadors

Hairoun Beer continues to live up to its tag line in true style “Hold your Own”, as March 6 marked the official launch of the endorsement of Hairoun beer by local celebrities.{{more}} For the first time ever, four local celebrities in the music industry have publicly supported Hairoun beer as the beer of choice in St.Vincent and the Grenadines.

Skinny Fabulous, Fireman, Tabia and dancehall artiste First Lady will represent Hairoun as ambassadors of the beer.

Skinny Fabulous, four-time soca monarch, is the unmistakeably energetic soca artiste from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, but known and loved locally, regionally and itnernationally. This talented and versatile artist consistently demonstrates his quick wit and the capacity to mesmerise the crowd while he is on stage. Always willing to push the boundaries of Caribbean music, Skinny Fabulous has a style that falls somewhere between soca and dancehall and is proud to endorse Hairoun beer.

Delroy ‘Fireman’ Hooper, the seven-time Soca Monarch of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, is now moving well and truly beyond the limitations of the local shows in which he first made his name. His deep-seated love of Soca and RaggaSoca shines strongly through, as well as his passion for songwriting.

Though an understatement, Fireman Hooper has one of the most illustrious careers in the soca industry today and has truly established himself as a true ambassador for SVG in the Soca arena. It is, therefore, no surprise that he is endorsing St.Vincent prize-winning lager being in the winner’s circle on numerous occasions by capturing the SVG soca monarch competition title seven times. His recent stint to Trinidad and Tobago International soca monarch, where he made this country proud, was part sponsored by Hairoun beer, and now Fire will be doing it all year long for Hairoun by promoting his local beer.

The next local celebrity to be promoting Hairoun beer is the young, vibrant and sultry Tabia Matthews, who has captured audiences at home and abroad. Increasing demands for Tabia’s music by television networks such as MTV’s Caribbean station, Tempo and RETV, and commendable reviews, speak of greater and greater possibilities for the young Vincentian.

Although she has been in the spotlight for a short time, Tabia is already seeing the fruits of her labour. In 2010, apart from the 3 awards that she won in the Underground Music Awards in Bermuda (Best New Artist, Best Music Video and Song Of The Year), she was also awarded with “Best Music Video” for “Boom Boom Boom remix”, at the National Entertainment Awards in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Tabia is well on her way to a seat among the stars and a perfect fit for the Hairoun Ambassadors family.

And last, but surely not least, to endorse the Hairoun brand is the charismatic, sexy and lyrically lethal fast-rising deejay, 1st LADY. Born Vasita Caine on October 26, 1985, 1st LADY has made a number of crowd popping appearances, of which she wasted no time as she always delivers excellent performances in front of thousands of her acerbic fans that earned her numerous encores. Hairoun, the 1St beer of St.Vincent and the Grenadines is proud to have 1ST Lady as part of its family.

The endorsement by these four local celebrities of the Hairoun beer brand is expected to promote and expose the artistic talents of the artistes to an even wider market and commercial partnership and far growth, while also developing creative ways of partnering with local talent in return for achieving measurable positive growth for St.Vincent Brewery.

These celebrities would make their first public appearance this afternoon at the UTC launch at Heritage Square.

Hairoun has been brewed and sold since 1985 and is in fact the largest selling brand in St.Vincent and the Grenadines. Synonymous with its rich history of Vincentian Heritage and tradition, Hairoun (which means “Land of the Blessed” ) has become an icon on the Vincentian landscape to the lives of every Vincentian, with its core values of patriotism, pride, style and togetherness.
