Elite Model team to visit SVG in search of future top models

A team of model scouts representing Elite Model Management of New York and Elite Model Look/Island People of Trinidad and Tobago will be present in St Vincent on September 15, 2011, for the St Vincent leg of the Elite Model Look Caribbean 2011 casting to discover future top models.{{more}}

Elite Model Look is the most renowned and prestigious international modeling contest. It is unique in providing an opportunity for young girls to enter the fashion world, become models and begin careers.

The Elite team is touring nine Caribbean territories- Jamaica, Haiti, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Antigua, Grenada, Guyana, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago, with several castings that will take place from August to October.

At the end of this Caribbean tour, the Elite Model Look jury will choose the 22 contestants who will participate in the Trinidad and Tobago Regional Final. Following this, 3 contestants will be selected to participate in the next step of the Elite Model Look contest which will be held on December 6, 2011, in Shanghai.

The winners are selected for their photogenic qualities, their personality and their natural beauty, but also for their potential to correspond to current fashion trends. The ultimate goal being to win the World Final which brings together 80 girls selected from 55 countries, all vying for a 2 year contract with the Elite agency.

Every year, the Elite Model Look teams travel throughout the world in search of the top models of the future. For the 28th consecutive year, Elite is organizing the most prestigious modeling contest in the world, offering thousands of girls between 14 and 22 years old the opportunity to achieve their dream and follow in the footsteps of top models such as Heidi Klum, Tyra Banks, Adriana Lima, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Stephanie Seymour, and Giselle Bundchen.

To participate in one of the Elite Model Look castings, applicants must be: female; between 14 and 22 years of age and at least 5’8 in or 172cm tall.

The casting will take place on September 15 at the Aquatic Club, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Applicants should wear as little make-up as possible and wear something that shows off their shape such as skinny jeans or shorts and a basic fitted t-shirt. They should also bring along a pair of high-heels and a swimsuit. The casting call is free and open to all candidates meeting the criteria.
