The event took place on Thursday, April 5, and was held under the theme “Declaring the Kingdom of God”.

The festival featured singing, dancing and choral speech, done by students and teachers of the school. The morning’s programme started with an uplifting worship session which engaged the gathering, from students to parents.

The activities continued with renditions by kindergarten, junior and upper junior choirs, as well as duets and upbeat dance routines from the school’s dance teams. The event also featured dances from Youth with a Purpose and the Gomea Methodist School.

Musical instruments were also included in the celebration, as students did renditions of worship choruses on recorders and violin. Aziza Beadle, dubbed “the girl with the Golden voice”, also performed a solo “I know My Redeemer lives”.

Principal Hyacinth Harry stated that the event is an opportunity for the students to showcase their talent, as well as focus on Jesus Christ. She added that the school is partly responsible for molding the children into well-rounded citizens of the country, adding that the spiritual aspect is very important.

Harry encouraged students and parents to “walk the straight and narrow” path in life. She further encouraged them to attend church and to be prepared, as signs are showing that the Lord’s coming is drawing near.
