Fort Charlotte: stage for Fashion Caribbean 2010!

AFTER a two year hiatus, the Image Modelling Agency has announced the return of Fashion Caribbean. The show, which features the best of Caribbean Fashion, will take place at one of our historic locations: Fort Charlotte on Saturday August 7.{{more}}

“Fashion Caribbean took a two-year break to restructure. Part of the restructuring was to find a suitable location for such an event with the right ambience that can accommodate our devoted patrons comfortably. We took our concerns to the Prime Minister and he went all out to make sure our passion does not die. He made Fort Charlotte available to us, said Monique Arthur-Tash,” Managing Director of Image Modelling Agency.

“Mr Mc Cree, Manager of Grenadine House has also come forward and help us to alleviate another major issue for the Agency by providing us with a place where we can meet, train and prepare for the 2010 event and we are also extremely grateful,” Arthur-Tash said.

A news release from the Agency states that other businesses have already pledged their support to Fashion Caribbean, the major Fashion event on St Vincent’s calendar.

“I know our patrons will be concerned about parking at Fort Charlotte. We will be organising an efficient shuttle service to take patrons to and from the event, after you’ve parked your vehicle at the stop point. We are making sure that people will be properly sheltered, bathrooms and all the other necessities in place to make sure it’s a great experience for all,” said Arthur-Tash.

As excitement in the Image camp brews, the Agency will host their second model call at The Grenadine House this Saturday, April 17, from 3:00-4:30 pm. This is open to young men 5 ft 10 or over and young women 5 ft 9 or over. Registration is $20. Persons needing any additional information can call the Image hotline on 45-IMAGE (454-6243)

Arthur-Tash also announced that no modelling experience is needed: “We at Image will be very happy to groom St Vincent and the Grenadines’ young men and women pursuing a modelling career, in keeping with our slogan, Fashion Caribbean 2010…..Fresh Faces of Fashion.”
