HITZ 103.7 gives thumbs up to its associates

Hitz 103.7 has extended congratulations to its associated Mas & J’ouvert bands. According to Candice Sealey, Head of Sales & Marketing of Hitz 103.7, Hitz 103.7 is thrilled that Guinness Y De Lima Hitz 103.7 Blondie Bird & Friends copped the King Of the Bands title as well as the Individual of the Bands title with its presentation ‘Wild Meat Cook -Up’.{{more}} She noted that placing 2nd in the Band of the Year competition and the Queen of the Bands competition is a notable achievement. Sealey added that from the initial stages when Blondie mentioned the name of the presentation, they knew it would be enticing and creative.

Hitz 103.7 had extended further congratulations to Digicel Nelson Bloc in association with Hitz 103.7 for winning the uptown competition as well as being judged the band with the best use of colour. No one can deny that their presentation this year was unique and in true Nelson bloc style they took control of Kingstown to win the on the road competition. Hitz 103.7 Owen Ralph and the Professionals proved it self as the newest member of the Hitz family by having a band that was sold out and they definitely had a visible presence. Sealey mentioned that next year they will be bigger and better.

Meanwhile, the Hitz 103.7 associated J’ouvert bands took over Kingstown like never before and a release from the radio station says “We are very excited that ‘Country meets town’, a presentation of the ‘Outta Trouble Family’, Hitz 103.7’s own Exclusive Sounds, LIME and Hitz 103.7 copped the top spot for the J’ouvert paint bands”. Sealey explained, that it was clear that when the band touched the streets of Kingstown, Kingstown was not the same; the same could be said for the Hott Vibes J’ouvert band which was also sponsored by Hitz 103.7. “This is of particular significance since these bands were promoted exclusively on Hitz 103.7 and they attracted a significant proportion of the Vincentian people,” the release said.

Sealey reiterated that all of this just shows that with corporate support, our Mas & J’ouvert bands can bring their creative ideas to life and make Vincy Mas a memorable one.
