Road March king is face of Courts Carnival promotion

The reigning Road March King Garett “Icon” John is the face of COURTS Furniture and Appliance Store’s Carnival promotion in which customers will be called on to join COURT’s “Congo Line”.{{more}}

Icon’s big 2009 hit “Congo Line”, with which he won this year’s new song competition, will be used in the COURTS Carnival promotion jingle.

As he announced the relationship with Icon on Tuesday, June 16th, Courts Marketing Executive Alexis John said that Icon is young, vibrant and energetic, which makes him a “natural fit to the COURTS brand.”

John thanked Zoelah Boyde, who was COURTS’ face over the last two years saying “she did us proud.”

Among the promotions during this year’s Carnival promotion will be up to 50 per cent discount being offered on selected items, and the opportunity to win Carnival costumes from mas bands KFC High Voltage, SVG Players and Adrenalin mas band, John announced.

The promotion will run between June 19th and July 04th.

“We cater for every lifestyle and every budget,” John said.

He also announced that COURTS will be contributing a total $5,600 to mas this year.

KFC High Voltage, SVG Players and Adrenalin Mas band will receive $2,700, $2,200 and $700 respectively from the furniture and appliance giant.

For his part, 23-year-old Icon said that he was “very proud” to be associated with COURTS and to be the face of the brand.

He urged shoppers to visit COURTS to see “the value that you can get for every dollar.” (KJ)
